Explore the glazes

Wander a little.

Tap a color family. These are real glazes photographed on tile, a small taste of the library. Screens shift color, which is exactly why the packs exist.

When the box arrives

Three ways to test a color.

Glaze changes as it moves. Turn it, tilt it, and watch what the light does.

1
A hand carrying a sample box
First

Move them around.

Carry the tiles from room to room. Check them in morning light, at dusk, and under lamps at night.

2
Two hands holding up a floral tile
Second

Set them beside everything.

Paint, wood, countertop, grout, the rug you refuse to replace. A color only ever gets judged next to something else.

3
A flower in bloom
Third

Give it a few days.

Leave them out on the counter or the vanity. The color you still like on day three is usually the one.

Good to know

A little color language.

V1 to V4

Variation is the point.

Every glaze has a variation level from V1 to V4. V1 stays close from piece to piece. V4 moves a lot. Check the level on each color before you fall for it.

Satin · Glossy

Satin or glossy.

Satin is a matte finish with minimal variation. Glossy is high shine with a wider range, and some glossy glazes are crackle. The library has both.

One piece

A sample is one piece.

Handmade glazes vary, so a sample shows one piece from the range. Planning something big? A tilemaker can walk you through what to expect.
