As we roll into Thanksgiving week, we’ve been thinking a lot about what makes our work feel… well, not like work. And honestly? It all comes back to the people and the places we get to create for. If handmade tile is our love language, then the projects we get to be part of are the conversations that keep us inspired, caffeinated, and coming back for more.
This year especially has been stacked with the kind of design collaborations that remind us why we’re obsessed with what we do.
Powell Architects: A Space Built Around Makers
One major highlight? Contributing tile to the new design-forward offices of Powell Architects. The space is basically a mood board for anyone who loves artisan craftsmanship. It features work from local makers across multiple disciplines, and seeing our custom tile living alongside such thoughtful design was a total pinch-me moment.
It’s the kind of project that perfectly blends architecture, interior design, and handmade materials—and we’re here for it.
Coral Sands Resort, Bahamas: Tile Made for Island Energy
Then there’s our work with AJ Capital at the gorgeous Coral Sands Resort in the Bahamas. Designing tile for a boutique resort surrounded by turquoise water and blush-pink beaches? Yeah, twist our arm.
This project challenged us to translate island color, warmth, and texture into bespoke tile that feels sun-soaked, breezy, and totally at home in a luxury hospitality space. It’s exactly the kind of custom tile for resorts we love making—pieces that elevate an experience without ever shouting for attention.
Urban Cowboy: When Creativity Turns Into Friendship
And of course—Urban Cowboy, the project that just has its own gravitational pull. Over the last year we’ve created so much custom tile for them that it basically feels like a creative best-friendship at this point.
This is one of those rare collaborations where handcrafted tile, great drinks, inspired interiors, and genuine relationships all swirl together in the same space. Watching our tile become part of an environment that people actually feel is exactly why we’re passionate about the intersection of design and craft.
The Real Thing We’re Thankful For
When we talk about gratitude this year, it isn’t just about the projects. It’s about the humans behind them—the architects, designers, chefs, makers, and dreamers who trust us with their spaces. It’s about the long talks over glaze samples, the shared visions, the “oh YES that’s it” moments, and the relationships that last long after the grout dries.
