Home Alone

A house that instantly feels like the holidays. Or simply like home.

Our Home Alone House icon tile captures the iconic Chicago home made famous by the beloved holiday film. Hand-painted in traditional cobalt oxide on an ivory ceramic tile, the illustration highlights the home’s classic American architecture, charming windows, and timeless silhouette. Whether you're a fan of the movie or simply drawn to the feeling the image evokes, it’s a small reminder of the warmth, nostalgia, and sense of home that certain places carry.

Part of our Americana Delft collection, this tile reimagines the historic Dutch Delft tradition through an American lens. Each tile is individually hand-painted in our Nashville studio using cobalt oxide, the same material historically used in Delftware. The delicate corner florets frame the image just as they did on traditional Delft tiles, creating a small story within each square.

Because every tile is painted by hand, natural variations are part of the beauty of the collection. Brushstrokes may appear slightly lighter or deeper in cobalt, and small differences in linework or detailing may occur from tile to tile. These subtle variations reflect the hand of the artist and give each piece the character and charm that defines true hand-painted tile.

Designers often scatter icon tiles throughout a backsplash or wall installation to create a collected, storytelling effect. Paired with our matching Americana Delft plain field tile, the icon becomes an unexpected moment within a field of ivory tile.

Perfect for kitchens, coffee bars, mudrooms, or any space where a little nostalgia belongs.

Every Americana Delft tile is painted to order, continuing a centuries-old craft tradition while telling a uniquely American story. Custom icon requests are always welcome.
