At Red Rock Tileworks, custom isn’t an add-on. It’s part of who we are.
Because we manufacture in-house, we’re able to adjust, shape, carve, and glaze in ways that simply aren’t possible with off-the-shelf tile. Whether you’re a homeowner refining details or a designer building something bold, here’s what we can do.
Custom Colors

Have a very specific shade in mind?
Designers regularly send us Benjamin Moore paint chips, Pantone references, fabric swatches, or even objects they want to match. We formulate glazes in gloss, satin, or translucent finishes to achieve the closest possible result.
Most colors can be achieved, though final results can vary slightly depending on how the glaze interacts with our white talc body. That material nuance is part of what makes handmade tile so rich and dimensional.
Custom color development typically starts around $1,000.
Custom Moldings & Profiles

If your project includes detailed woodwork, an arch, or a specific trim profile, we can replicate that in tile.
Send us a drawing or CAD file, and we’ll develop a custom molding that integrates seamlessly into the architecture of your space. This is especially helpful when you want continuity between millwork and tile.
Custom Field Shapes

Looking for the perfect elongated hexagon? A very specific triangle? A shape that doesn’t yet exist?
We can fabricate custom field shapes using custom tooling. Setup for custom shapes typically begins around $1,000, depending on scale and complexity.
There are no minimums required, which makes this approachable for smaller projects as well.
Molded & Relief Tiles

For projects that call for depth and texture, we create molded pressed pieces.
This process involves carving a master, creating a production master mold, and then developing working molds for fabrication. Because of the craftsmanship and time involved, setup fees for relief tiles typically range around $4,000.
The result is a sculptural tile with dimensional detail that simply can’t be achieved through surface glaze alone.
Spotlight: The “Pigskin” Tile

One of our favorite custom projects was for the Tennessee Titans.
We took an actual football and created molds to capture its texture — including the laces and the subtle grain of the leather. The finished tile, which we call “Pigskin,” preserves every detail in ceramic form.
It’s a great example of what’s possible when someone asks, “Can you do this?” and instead of saying no, we say, “Let’s try.”
Custom Porcelain Partnerships

For large commercial or hospitality projects — especially those requiring heavy floor traffic performance or large-scale custom imagery — we also partner with Haustile for printed porcelain solutions.
That allows us to prototype in-house while scaling production when needed, depending on the scope of the job.
Custom timing can range from a couple of weeks to a few months, depending on complexity.
If you have an idea — whether it’s a color match, a molding profile, a new shape, or something as specific as a football texture — we’d love to explore it with you.
